I completed my RIBA accredited Part 1 degree at the University of Portsmouth in 2012. Following gradutation from the BA (hons) course, I was employed at K B Surveying in Amble Northumberland.

While employed there i was able to work with private and commercial clients designing personal living spaces in private homes and enhancing the everyday working of their employees in commercial buildings.

During my studies I have learned that the United Kingdom has a rich heritage within the field of architecture that should be preserved. However, to ensure the continuing success of architecture there should also be room for the expression of new ideas. In the modern world architects are constantly trying to preserve the gap between architectural history such as gothic cathedrals to the new structures such as the Scottish Parliament Building and The Shard.

In my approach to architectural design I want buildings that I design to reflect the space that they are being designed for, be it with the use of materials or the use of construction.
