Hi, my name is Mariam Aslam. I am 20 years old and from the lively city of Nottingham. I am currently enjoying being a part of citizen agency, with the Beach Hut project being the most engaging project for me as yet. Recently I have become more interested in Japanese architects such as Kengo Kuma and Sou Fujimoto. It is the simplicity of the design and natural quality of the buildings which for me yields fascinating results. I have also been inspired Zaha Hadid’s early student work and paintings for their quality and compositional qualities. This year I hope to develop my own style - in design, presentation and drawing.
