Dominic Kennedy

Dominic is currently completing the Masters (MArch) Part 2 degree part-time at Leeds Metropolitan University.

His first year masters work, which received funding and a Distinction from the university and two architectural practices, was a key showpiece in the end of year show.

His final year proposed scheme seeks to collect Sheffield's so called ‘waste’ and feed the metal objects and energy produced back into the community. The proposal is made up of a collection of entities that allow the unwanted objects and materials to be collected, sorted, valued, catalogued, stored. It endeavours to give scrap a second chance.

Dominic spent his year-out placement at Langtry-Langton Architects, where he gathered valuable experience in the commercial, residential, education and extra care sectors. He was given the opportunity to experience different stages from feasibility to planning approval to handover stage on a variety of different projects.

Dominic is currently an Architectural Assistant at Bowman Riley Architects who are sponsoring him for the duration of the Masters degree.
